Picture this: a gangly teenager, yours truly, currently navigating the chaotic streets of India in a desperate attempt to learn how to drive before college. As I write this, I’m clutching the steering wheel for dear life, trying to decipher the mysteries of manual transmission while dodging everything from cows to cyclists.Every driving lesson feels like a scene from a slapstick comedy, with me constantly mistaking the accelerator for the brake and sending my instructor into a panic. I’m honking horns, swerving to avoid potholes, and generally making a spectacle of myself on the road. But hey, who needs a laugh track when you have Indian traffic as your soundtrack? Each session is a rollercoaster of hilarity and hijinks, from accidentally activating the windshield wipers instead of the turn signal to getting hopelessly lost in the labyrinth of streets. As college looms on the horizon, I can’t help but laugh at my own misadventures behind the wheel. Learning to drive is an ongoing comedy of errors, but it’s also a journey of self-discovery and growth. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll actually figure out how to parallel park without causing a scene. But until then, buckle up and enjoy the ride – the comedy show on wheels is far from over!
