Our? Mine?

In India during the time of festivals we clean our houses regularly, this phase of about 1-2 weeks is most painfull in anyone’s life (specially teenagers) Why ? Cause usually at an Indian household you are considered to be a small kid who wants some space and the house belongs to your parents or specially to your mother and when asked from her why can’t I do this in this home the answer is My home but the catch is during the phase of festivals you become a responsible adult and during this time if asked from a mother why should I? you are answered by OUR HOME (☭ ͜ʖ ☭) and thus forced to work but this time I came up with an idea , an idea to just stay out of this by saying please let me study the only other thing allowed in Indian households after eating and sleeping.
